A-COLD-WALL* & Spiber: SS 2025 Concept Capsule
Integral to the SS 2025 “Pink Noise” is a concept capsule incorporating “Brewed Protein™”: Spiber’s patented material platform, utilising microbial fermentation technology to generate lab-grown fibers. Each concept garment uses an experimental iteration of the Brewed Protein™ fabric, revealed and used for the first time for ACW*.

A-COLD-WALL* SS 2025 "Pink Noise" Installation in Maiocchi 10, by Ken-Tonio Yamamoto
An installation at Maiocchi 10 in Milan on 14-15 June introduced the collection. This saw the ACW* SS25 collection as experienced through the vision of artist Ken-Tonio Yamamoto, reimagined in an immersive ceremonial space, featuring subtly moving portraits of members of the ACW* network, dressed in ready-to-wear and concept pieces from the new collection.
A material partnership at the edge of the industrial avant-garde
Together with the team at A-COLD-WALL*, the two organisations produced an experimental iteration of the fabric, blending Brewed Protein™ with silk. Fabric is smocked, or gathered into itself, producing a floating construction, using more traditional jacquard techniques.
This exclusive fabric was deployed on several concept pieces in onyx black: outerwear, a cargo pant, a hooded dress, a bag, and footwear. Subcultural archetypes, produced with a radical fabric. An integration of new materials into the ACW* design language.
