In the fifth iteration of the brands long-standing partnership, A-COLD-WALL* & Dr. Martens revisit the silhouette debuted in their Autumn/Winter 2021 collection. Global early access available at a-cold-wall.com on Thursday, 25th May 15:00 BST and select retail partners on Friday, 26th May.

Showcasing the Brutalist design language that has defined their collaborative output since the inaugural project in 2020, a new approach to materiality has been explored. Manifesting in a soft tumble-aged, water-resistant, nubuck leather the ACW* 1461 Gehry Shoe continues to stand on a ridged, double-height rubber sole with a centralised zip fastening system.

Referencing A-COLD-WALL*’s industrial palette, the Slate Grey iteration has a translucent iced sole with tonal ecru welt stitching. Adorned on the heel is the ACW* branding applied in silver foiled print. Moulded brutalist sidewalls and a centralised zip system further articulate an evolved interpretation of this classic silhouette.

The Onyx colourway is an all black iteration accented only by ACW* branding in a silver foiled print and Dr. Marten’s trademark welt yellow stitching. Stacked on a Smoke Bex sole are subtle architectural details that speak to a A-COLD-WALL*’s design language in the form of gunmetal rivets and sculptural side panels.
